The Transfiguration: Focusing on Jesus (2nd March 2025 Sermon)

The Lord Jesus’ Transfiguration experience taught the disciples a very important lesson: to focus their attention on the voice of the Lord Jesus. The voice from the cloud said, ‘This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to Him.’ All suggestions, proposals, and plans put forward to Jesus by Peter were turned down, and they were told to LISTEN to God’s Son, Jesus. The mission that was to be fulfilled by Jesus was at the bottom of the mountain—in Jerusalem—not on the top. Let us use the time of Lent to listen to the voice of the Lord Jesus, which will direct us in our life.
