Sabbath Mercy Over Sabbath Rules

Two interpretations of the same law—one by the ruler of the synagogue and the other by the Lord Jesus—invite deep contemplation and challenge us to think wisely.
For the Lord Jesus, it was perfectly right in the sight of God to heal the poor, crippled woman, where the law or social system had failed to help her stand upright and praise God.
