My Lord And My God: The Power of Unseen Belief (27th April 2025 Sermon)

There are things we don’t believe unless we see or hear them, but certain things we have to believe even though we do not see or hear them. For example, we don’t see the air, yet we know and believe that it exists. Thomas, in a way, was genuine when he said, “I want to see and touch Jesus; otherwise, I will be unable to believe.” But when he saw Him, he was completely changed and made the ultimate proclamation about Jesus: “My Lord and My God!” The absence of faith brings fear and suspicion. Trust, belief, and faith are living words for our lives, and Jesus’ appearance to Thomas teaches us this message.
