From Waiting to Witnessing: The Ascension, the Spirit, and Our Mission

Today's Sermon is from Acts 1:1-11

Lord Jesus’ words just before the Ascension remind us that patience is a very important quality we must develop in our lives. For a waiting community, Jesus gave a new mission to be carried out by them: preaching the Good News from Jerusalem to the ends of the world. This mission was led by the Holy Spirit when the community was empowered by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit also moves us to take care of Creation, and as human beings, we live responsibly.
