The Dedication of the Firstborn: A Call to Service (2nd February 2025 Sermon)

Are you the firstborn in your family? Do you know that the Old Testament Law of God demands that every firstborn must serve God and be committed to God’s service? Baby Jesus, being the firstborn, was presented and dedicated at the Temple according to the Law and custom of the people of Israel. Even though His parents did not fully understand that He was to serve the will and purpose of God, Jesus Himself set an example. Parents, have you offered your firstborn to serve God? They will produce fruit from where you have offered them, to what you have dedicated them.
